U7 HURLING
Our U7 hurlers had a great day on Saturday 24th June as they took part in an U7 blitz which was being held across 3 different venues. Well done to all the players involved who had lots of fun and showed great enthusiasm and skill on the day!
U13 HURLING
Our U13’s faced Clerihan in the 2nd round of the championship on Tuesday last in Grangemockler. Our lads performed excellently on the night and faced a Clerihan team who didn’t lack in size throughout the field. There was plenty of goals on show as Clerihan ran out winners in the end on a score line of 6-3 to 3-3. We are seeing vast improvements from the team so it will be great to see them bring this forward in to the next game again. Next up for our U13’s are Fethard who they play on Tuesday 27th June at 7.30pm in Fethard.

U15 FOOTBALL
Last Friday 23rd June, our U15 footballers played Clonmel Commercials in Grangemockler. In what was a very entertaining game our lads came out on top with a score line of 5-6 to 4-5. A great win for the team and management who face Newcastle in their next game on Thursday 29th June at 6.30pm in Newcastle.
JUNIOR HURLING
In what should have be an exciting prospect of beginning our junior hurling campaign having reached the county final last year, this year began with somewhat of a dampener. With numerous players away and requests to move the game sent since early June to accommodate, we were drawn to play 2 junior hurling fixtures this week. Unfortunately, we had to give Ballingarry a walkover on Sunday 25th June as we were unable to fulfil the fixture due to players being unavailable away on holidays and players carrying serious injuries. Our championship now hangs in the balance as we are down to face Clonmel Óg on Thursday evening at 7.45pm in Killenaule. This is a must win game so we encourage you to support our lads on the day.
INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL
On Wednesday 21st June, our Intermediate footballers were looking to pick themselves up after the county league final defeat to Aherlow. There was a number of injuries picked up which lead to some new faces entering the fray. It was a dog fight in the first half with only a couple of points between the teams at the break. It was in the second half where Grangemockler picked it up a notch and they were rewarded when Paudí O’Shea finished off a fine move by the young side to put 5 between the side with 15 minutes remaining. Clonmel Og did threaten the goal in the final minutes of the game but it was James Wallace who denied them with a remarkable double save at the death. We ran out winners by 1-13 to 0-9 points. This cements top spot in the South group with fixtures to be announced at a later date.
